Tips for Living a Mentally Healthy Life

Here are some tips for a exceptional mentally healthy life. Try these tips and see if they can make a difference in your daily living experiences.

When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to _______today." Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes a day. Buy a lock if you need to. Eat more foods that grow on plants and trees and eat less foods that are manufactured in plants. Live with the 3 E's: Enthusiasm, Empathy, and Energy.

Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is like. Make peace with your past so it won't affect the present. No one is in charge of your happiness but you! Life isn't fair, but it's still good. Try to make at least 3 people smile each day. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful, or joyful. Call your family often! Forgive everyone for everything. What other people think of you is none of your business.

Time heals almost everything. Give time....time. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6. Take a 30 minute walk each day. And while you are walking, smile because it is the ultimate antidepressant. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't take yourself so seriously as no one else does. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "Will it matter in 5 years?" Dream more while you are awake. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. Do the right thing. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are the curriculum that appear and fade away but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
